Soon after she began experimenting with different textures, colors and styles, and found jewelry making to be fun and exciting but also relaxing. By 2006, Rochelle had stockpiled boxes of jewelry and her husband was asking questions like “What are you going to DO with all that??”

About the same time, friends and relatives were starting to notice the jewelry she was wearing and viola! Soon she was designing custom jewelry for all of them. Since then Crafted Accents has grown and expanded the selection and styles. In late 2007, Rochell began showing her Fiber Necklace line, which soon took over as the best selling item. The summer of 2008, Rochelle won the Best Artisan award at Burrillville Art Festival for her quality and unique style. To view more of Crafted Accents, check out the website or visit Rochelle at The Rockin’ Shop!

Margaret says of her company, Mountain Girl Clothing, “All clothing I create is either made of recycled or organic materials. I love using forgotten and unloved items of clothing and giving them new life. There are so many beautiful textures and fabrics and items of clothing that already exist in the world, I do not see the need to made demands on the already non mother earth friendly textile businesses that exist. My life revolves around these clothing creations and the joy I get from sewing each piece. All of my materials comes from either the salvation army, goodwill, community rummage sales or yard sales so all of the money that I spend towards my business goes towards my community and organizations that benefit the greater good.”

Her clothing has been winning rave reviews from fellow bloggers, such as: A Handmade Revolution, Bees’netta Blog, resweater and Ooh, I’ve Got Something to Show You!

Barbie’s Creations is known for her very realistic-looking candles. Pies and martini glasses are just some of the visually delicious designs that are available. And they smell as good as they look, too! With over a dozen fragrances to pick from (and many more being added regularly), there is a scent for any and every occasion. Since all of Barbie’s candles are made from gel, they last much longer than traditional wax candles because they burn at a higher temperature. Barbie’s Creations also utilizes real flowers in some of its designs, but can also design with artificial flowers upon your personal preference.

With the holiday season upon us, Barbie has updated her website with new holiday wreaths and holiday candles. Barbie’s Creations is more than happy to customize your order- be it a certain design or fragrance, she is readily available for any ideas you may have. You can reach Barbie’s Creations via email at Barbie@BarbiesCreations.net, and view the wide variety of items on her website… www.BarbiesCreations.net.
